spesso pubblicare con un piccolo editore ci sembra la soluzione più semplice: ha meno pretese e ci rende la vita più facile.
Il grande editore è molto selettivo, ha tempi di risposta geologici e il più delle volte ci sembra inarrivabile. Mondadori, la Harlequin, Sperling&Kupfer sono dei mostri sacri: decisamente troppo per un'autrice esordiente.
Ecco perchè ci avviciniamo con meno timore reverenziale al piccolo editore.

What I say is this: Aim high, aim at the big publisher because only then you can take seriously. If you have money da spendere, pagate un buon editor che vi aiuti a migliorare il vostro libro e a renderlo commercializzabile.
Anche perché non esistono altre speranze se non i grandi editori che hanno capitali sufficienti a pubblicare su larga scala e soprattutto a DISTRIBUIRE.
Un romanzo Harlequin, o uno Mondadori si vendono da soli ma un romanzo pubblicato dalla PincoPallino che fine fa?
E se proprio non vi interessa vendere, ma volete solo vedere stampato il vostro libro, ricorrete alle case editrici ON DEMAND che vi stampano solo le copie che volete e che hanno costi molto contenuti.
